Wilderness Elk Hunts

With our fully staffed camp, restful accommodations, and dependable livestock, the only things required of the hunter are a sleeping bag, rifle and personal gear. Our hunts are challenging both physically and mentally. Significant time each day is spent on horseback and hiking through the wilderness at high altitude. Conditioning prior to the hunt is important and will better allow you to enjoy your experience.

Wolverine Creek Outfitters offers 8-day elk hunts in the Teton Wilderness north of Jackson Hole WY. Located between Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park our wilderness camp is extremly remote offering a uniquely wild hunt only accessible by horseback.

WCO is proud to own all of its livestock and takes great pride in providing you with experienced well seasoned horses and mules during your hunt. We spend much of our winters tending to our tack and equipment, and while the journey into camp is significant, we do all we can to guarantee you as much comfort in the saddle, as in camp.

Our traditional yet comfortable wilderness hunting camp becomes a warm and inviting home amidst the rugged terrain. With spacious wall tents equipped with wood stoves and ample hooks for drying gear, hunters can relax and recharge after a full day in the field. Two clients share each tent, featuring padded carpeted floors, large cots with comfortable sleeping pads and lanterns.

Our days start and end gathered in our cook and dining tent where our skilled trail cook serves up delicious and hearty family-style meals. Our guides and wranglers ensure our horses are saddled and ready each morning for the full day out in the field. While hunters and guides head out on horseback with packed lunches for a full day of hunting, our wranglers and cook work hard tending to livestock and camp, ensuring a comfortable environment for our return each evening.
