How To Hunt With Wolverine Creek Outfitters

Hunting in Wyoming

To hunt in Wyoming can seem a bit confusing. We also understand it can be difficult to manage preference points, licenses, and application deadlines in multiple states as many hunters are doing. That is why we like to help our clients with this process as much as possible to ensure nothing is missed along the way. We encourage clients to allow us to help with:

  • Purchasing Preference Points

  • Hunting License Applications

  • Hunt Reservations - Deposits - Cancellations

Please give us a call or send an email and we will be happy to explain the process from start to finish and, discuss potential hunt timelines and opportunities.

Let WCO remember important dates and deadlines for you.

Preference Points

Now more than ever, WCO strongly encourages all hunters to purchase preference points for any species they may be interested in hunting in the future. When applying for any license in Wyoming with preference points your odds of drawing a tag increase significantly.

Additionally, a hunter’s odds of drawing a tag are further increased if you purchase the Nonresident Special tag. Preference points are available for purchase from July 1st – October 31st. WCO is happy to assist any client with the purchase of preference points so please contact us if we can be of help.

Application Deadlines

Preference Points: July 1st - October 31st

Non-Resident Elk: January 31st

Non-Resident Deer: May 31st

Non-Resident Moose: April 30th

Non-Resident Big Horn Sheep: April 30th

Hunt Reservations - Deposits - Refunds

- Jump In Line -

With the new preference point system in place, WCO offers hunters the opportunity to reserve specific hunt dates prior to the draw results being released. If you or your party would like to reserve a particular hunt week, an advance deposit of $1,500 per hunter is required. WCO operates on a first come, first served basis so advanced reservations are strongly encouraged due to the number of early bookings requested each year.

After drawing a tag, the remaining balance on the hunt is due on or before June 1st. In the unlikely event that you have to cancel your hunt before June 1st, your deposit will be forfeited and should you have to cancel your hunt after June 1st, your full payment will be forfeited. Refunds will only be granted under circumstance laid out in our Refund Policy.
